蠅的英文讀后感篇1

jane eyre was published in 1847 under the androgynous pseudonym of "currer bell." the publication was followed by widespread success. utilizing two literary traditions, the bildungsroman and the gothic novel, jane eyre is a powerful narrative with profound themes concerning genders, family, passion, and identity. it is unambiguously one of the most celebrated novels in british literature.

born in 1816, charlotte bronte was the third daughter of patrick bronte, an ambitious and intelligent clergyman. according to newsman, all the bronte children were unusually precocious and almost ferociously intelligent, and their informal and unorthodox educations under their father’s tutelage nurtured these traits. patrick bronte shared his interests in literature with his children, toward whom he behaved as though they were his intellectual equals. the bronte children read voraciously. charlotte’s imagination was especially fired by the poetry of byron, whose brooding heroes served as the prototypes for characters in the bronte’s juvenile writings as well as for such figures as mr. rochester in jane eyre (2)。 bronte’s formal education was limited and sporadic – ten months at the age of 8 at cowan bridge clergy daughters’ school (the model for lowood institution in jane eyre), eighteen months from the age of 14 at roe head school of miss margaret wooler (the model for ms. temple) (nestor 3-4)。 according to newman, bronte then worked as a teacher at roe head for three years before going to work as a governess. seeking an alternative way of earning money, charlotte bronte went to brussels in 1842 to study french and german at the pensionnat heger, preparing herself to open a school at the parsonage. she seems to have fallen in love with her charismatic teacher, constantin heger. the experience seems on a probable source for a recurrent feature in bronte’s fiction: “relationships in which the inflammatory spark of intellectual energy ignites an erotic attraction between a woman and a more socially powerful man” (newman 6)。 the brontes’ efforts to establish a school at the parsonage never got off the ground. still seeking ways to make money, charlotte published, with her sisters, the unsuccessful poems by currer, ellis, and acton bell. her first effort to publish a novel, the professor, was also unsuccessful. jane eyre, published in october 1847, however, was met with great enthusiasm and became one of the best sellers. as “currer bell” bronte completed two more novels, shirley and villette. she married reverend william bell nicholls in 1854 and died nine months later, at the age of thirty-nine in 1855 (nestor 4-5)。

the story of jane eyre takes place in northern england in the early to mid-19th century. (“jane eyre” 151) it starts as the ten-year-old jane, a plain but unyielding child, is excluded by her aunt reed from the domestic circle around the hearth and bullied by her handsome but unpleasant cousins. under the suggestion of mr. lloyd, an apothecary that sympathizes jane, mrs. reed sends jane to lowood institution operated by a hypocritical evangelicalist, mr. brocklehurst, who chastises jane in front of the class and calls her a liar. at lowood, jane befriends with helen burns, who helps the newly arrived jane adjust to the austere

蠅的英文讀后感篇2

i read a tale of two cities, the reason is that there are a lot of net friend recommendation online, they all said it was a very touching book, ill download on the net with curiosity, finished part feels good, just write this entry.

the tale of a tale of two cities is a profound depiction of the turbulent times of the day, and the love of women who have sacrificed their lives for historical realities.

it is said on the internet that the tale of a tale of two cities is a story of two men and a woman, but i feel that the man does not know what the author really means. s de, in my opinion, a hatred and french aristocrat, lucy, charles and sydneys feelings, is just to show who caused the war, why things. in fact, people have to be tolerant to others, even if the big things can be small and small. i remember one thing that happened to me: once, i accidentally lost my classmates book, and i thought she would pay me for it. i didnt think that when i spoke to her, she not only did not scold me, but also told me that i could not forget the whole thing in the future, so i should form good habits. well, maybe this is the attitude between people.

in this work, i see a lot of different people. honest good yet suffered persecution horse knight doctor, loyal lowry, appearance indifference, inner passion, dissolute and selfless sidney, inhuman des wife, cruel and wicked fremont brothers el.。. there is a complex hatred in it, but it creates more hatred, and this complicated act is vividly presented in front of us, and we seem to be back to the era of the irrational. some people complain that being born in this century is a bad thing, to be born in the past, at least to be a martyr. in fact, this idea is wrong. we should make contribution to modern life in modern times. and have all kinds of people in the world, they all have different personalities, we who dont cry because it is the character of the weird and dont make friends with him, also dont believe that the people around, maybe he is one of them want to harm you.

what i like most about a tale of two cities is sidney, the lawyers assistant. carlton. his first appearance was different, and when the people in the courtroom looked casually at the ceiling, one of his notes revealed the plot behind the case. him with a melancholy, in an appearance as a lawyer, he is talented, but is reluctant to hiding behind the somebody else, do others stepping stone of success, he built his own hands and a wall, cut off from fame and wealth. he once said, "i am a desperate coolie. i dont care about anyone in the world, and nobody cares about me."

yes, we should not aspire to be famous, so we can not learn more knowledge. maybe you can be a stepping stone to others, and you can learn more knowledge from others. we can see his strengths and weaknesses, learn his strengths, and throw away his weaknesses.

蠅的英文讀后感篇3

it seems to me that many readers’ english reading experience starts with jane eyer. i am of no exception. as we refer to the movie “jane eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.

jane eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her as badly as a ragtag. since jane’s education in lowwood orphanage began, she didn’t get what she had been expecting--simply being regarded as a common person, just the same as any other girl around. the suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.as a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, jane got a chance to be a tutor in thornfield garden. there she made the acquaintance of lovely adele and that garden’s owner, rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: after jane and rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----rochester was also a despairing person in need of salvation. jane did want to give him a hand, however, she made up her mind to leave, because she didn’t want to betray her own principles, because she was jane eyer. the film has finally got a symbolist end: jane inherited a large number of legacies and finally returned. after finding rochester’s misfortune brought by his original mad wife, jane chose to stay with him forever.

i don’t know what others feel, but frankly speaking, i would rather regard the section that jane began her teaching job in thornfield as the film’s end----especially when i heard jane’s words “never in my life have i been awaken so happily.” for one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginning of life was what jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. but the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: there must be something wrong coming with the excellence----perhaps not only should another section be added to enrich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of jane’s life that “l(fā)ife is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get.” (by forrest gump’s mother, in the film “forrest gump”)

蠅的英文讀后感篇4

"gone with the wind" is the american woman writer margaret johnson. mitchell wrote a long novel that was beautifully written, fluent in language, dramatic, and gripping. the book is based on the american civil war, and the narrative is based on scarlett's emotions. "gone with the wind" has become an influential and influential book since its launch.

i read this book after work. the characters in the story are scarlett, ashley and ryan, and, of course, melani. "gone with the wind" is divided into two parts. when i look at the department, it just feels that scarlett is a beautiful woman, and many men like her very much. what impressed me a little bit was that when she was turned down by him for his love for ashley, he was told by another man, rhett, that the setting of the scene made me laugh. but, to my surprise, the place that made me laugh was the one that laid the groundwork for any future plot. when i read the lower part of the book, i suddenly found out that this was a masterpiece. i thought the plot was too dramatic, but at the end of the story, i watched it over and over again, crying over and over again. look at the whole book and find out that the descriptions i think are exaggerated are not exaggerated at all.

you love someone who doesn't love you, but you find that the perfect shadow you love is the one you love. the man who is deeply disgusted with himself, but loves his own love, has not the courage of love. there are so many examples in the real world that i'm stuck in this cycle, unable to escape. the book is about a tangle of unsolved love, but i know that such mislove is not unique to books.

i felt that i was deeply fascinated by it soon after i had read it。

i first read it in a summer。 i did not finish it at a single sitting。 however, the moment i finished it, near midnight in a sweltering august day, with my body poured with sweat, held my breath to turn the last page over, shut the book and heaved a sigh of relief, i just could not express how i felt。 all were over: trouble was over; lives were over; hopes were over。 i was shocked how such a small book could contain such a complicated story。 never were wars, diseases and starvation ever nakedly exposed to me like this。 the turns in plots were surprising but natural。

it was a tragedy: just as its name suggested, everything was gone with the wind, including families’ touch, friends’ support, sweethearts’ gaze and youth with vigour。 the story reminds us of valuing all we were possessing。 a life lasts for a short time and anything in it lasts shorter。 we always lose something unconsciously and then feel regretful when we need them later。

characters in the story were so vivid as if they had been going to jump out of the story, as if they had been existed in the real life at first。

“l(fā)and is the only thing in the world that amounts to anything, for ‘this the only thing in this world that lasts, and don’t you be forgetting it’ this the only thing worth working for, worth fighting for——worth dying for?!?said gerald, an irish man who loved his soil more than his own life, let us know that life can be born out of land。

“but scarlett, did it ever occur to you that even the most deathless love could wear out? mine wore out, against ashley wilkes and your insane obstinacy that makes you hold on like a bulldog to anything you think about?!?/p>

“scarlett, i was never one to patient pick up broken fragment glue them together and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new。 what is broken is broken——and i’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as i lived?!?said rett butler, a man who love scalett as much as a man can love a woman。 loving her for years before he finally got her, he loved her crazily but did not let her know it for fear of being hurt。 but at last he still could not escape from hurts。 “my dear, i don’t give a damn。” look, he did not care about it at all。 he was a man who disguised himself so much。

“i mustn’t bawl; i mustn’t beg。 i mustn’t do anything risk his contempt。 he must respect me even——even if he doesn’t love me?!?/p>

“i’ll think of it all tomorrow, at tara。 i can stand it then。 tomorrow, i’ll think some way to get him back。 after all, tomorrow is another day?!?/p>

said scalett o’hara, the most wonderful woman i’ve ever seen。 she was hard and greedy and unscrupulous, a brave, frightened, bull—headed child。 though she only thought about how to attract man’s attention and did not do anything useful before the war, she did surprise me when i read about her doings after the war。 at that time, her tara was just reduced to ashes。 everyone sketched out their hands and asked her for food。 she bravely faced the reality and rebuilt tara with her own hands。 what a tough woman, i thought。 though those she loved were all gone, she was still full of hope。 when rett didn’t love her anymore and wanted to leave her, she said “i mustn’t bawl… even if he doesn’t love me?!?a woman’s dignity could be seen from what she have said and done。 that’s why i appreciate her。

this novel gave me too much to think about and i can not fully express myself in english。 it is true that reading an origin is more vivid than the translated ones。 however, my english level limits me to understand the origin well without the translated。 but i will work hard in order to understand better。

the novel is my treasure, forever, because i find myself in scarlett and find the world i live in inside the story。

that’s really an excellent novel, with an ending from which you can see hope rising from despair。

scarlett , a very personality figures ,the two mans she love ,neither does she know about。to her, i was compelled to admire, admire her strong and brave, admire her to lay down in the environment, farm workers previously suffered education, admire her to disregard the community to create their own expression of the cause 。she is in the whole story, all a person full of fighting will full of vitality 。 i appreciated most , it is this " tomorrow is another day of hers " 。 promising forever, full of fighting will , will never give up, never desperate。 i think i'm moved by her。so, whenever i meet difficulty, the mood is not good, i will tell oneself : " tomorrow is another day。 " 'gone with the wind' is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot rises and falls, exciting boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor because of the author among them , the appraisal on u。s。a。's civil war is not objective and overall, but as to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation definitely absolutely, worth visiting。

author: antoine de st—exupery

main characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc。

despite i’ve not in my childhood yet, i still prefer reading fairy—tale stories。 the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children。 this summer i’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940。 it’s the world—famous fairy—tale by the french author, antoine de st—exupery, the little prince。

as many other fairy—tales, the outline of the little prince is not very complex。 “i”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the sahara。 in this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the asteroid b612。 the little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet。 in that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids。

on his all—alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer。 from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown—ups are very odd。 following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the sahara, on the earth。

蠅的英文讀后感篇5

the thinking of jane eyre

during the winter vacation i read a book named jane eyre, and i did think and get a lot. after i closed the covers of the book, i felt like having a long journey of the spirit. jane eyre, has left us so much to recall and to think.

jane eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her very badly. actually, jane wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. and some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when miss ingram met jane eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. but as the little governess had said: ‘do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong!’ this is the idea of equality in jane eyre’s mind. so, finally she had the courage to express her love to mr rochester. she said:"do you think i can watch another woman become your bride?do you think i`m a machine, whitout feelings?do you think, because i`m small and poor and plain, that i have no soul and no heart?well, you`re wrong! i have as much soul and heart as you.it is my spirit that speaks to your spirit!we are equal in the sight of god!” her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.

god hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, god gave her a kind mind and a thinking brain. when we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.

蠅的英文讀后感篇6

how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. they look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts that i really detest.

francis bacon said in his essay, ‘goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

蠅的英文讀后感篇7

pride and prejudice is the work of jane austen, a british woman writer. the scope of this work is only three or four families in a village, with elizabeth as the main character. the main plot is nothing more than the chat about marriage and property in the front of the fireplace and in the meeting of relatives and friends, the bee chase and butterfly chase in the market, church, dance, banquet and other occasions, and the love talk.

the arrogance of darcy and the prejudice of the heroine all have obvious class attribute. their frustrations in love are not due to their accidental misunderstanding, but because there is an inevitable gap between the two sides in different class status. elizabeth, as a middle-class common girl, only by virtue of the charm of her personality and her excellent quality, won the fame and fortune of the noble young master, and finally became a good couple with her. this is another copy of cinderellas story.

the same is true in life. only by putting down the arrogant attitude, throwing away the prejudiced vision, treating with empathy, and understanding each other through communication, can we know each other. like mr. darcy in the book, although the appearance gives the impression of arrogance, arrogance and superciliousness. but the heart is kind and sincere and willing to let go, its attitude of not stubborn is really appreciated.

蠅的英文讀后感篇8

many people simply regard pride and prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. she perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.

the characters have their own personalities. mrs. bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. mr. bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, mr. darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. even the five daughters in bennet family are very different. jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. mary likes reading classic books. (actually she is a pedant.) kitty doesnt have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, lydia. lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. when i read the book, i can always find the same personalities in the society now. that is why i think this book is indeed the representative of the society in britain in the 18th century.

the family of gentleman in the countryside is jane austens favourite topic. but this little topic can reflect big problems. it concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in britain in her century. you can find these from the very beginning of this book.

the first sentence in this book is impressive. it reads: “it is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”。 the undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.

people always think that austen was an expert at telling love stories. in fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. after reading this book, i know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.

i couldnt forget how eager mrs. bennet wants to marry off her daughters. if you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, i must mention the situation in britain at that time. only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his fathers possessions. younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. jane austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century.

in “pride and prejudice”, the sister of mr. bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying jane because the bennets dont have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. from this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. the society, the relatives would not allow them to get married.

in modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some peoples mind. a lot of parents try hard to interfere their childrens marriages. education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence ones marriage. marry for money is still a big problem in our society. we cant help thinking: can money determine everything?

austen left this problem for us to think. the genius of jane austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. although austen was only 21 when she wrote “pride and prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. the plots in her works are always very natural. the development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. i think the depth of pride and prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.
